BLESSED ANNA MARIA TAIGI_ THREE DAYS OF DARKNESS

Blessed Anna Maria Taigi (1769-1837)

Blessed Anna died peacefully in her home, and the Church declared her “Blessed” in testament to her extraordinary approach to life. Her relics have been translated many times from place to place, each time found to be completely incorrupt. They now are venerated in the Chapel of the Madonna in the Basilica of San Crisogono in Rome, Italy. 365 Rosaries Blogspot

COULD THE THREE DAYS OF DARKNESS BE THE 10TH MEDJUGORJE SECRET?

A blessed candle of beeswax will
miraculously burn for three days...

You know that it is clear that we should have been noticing the  corrosion of the Catholic Church, which is in itself the very substance of the “Chastisement.” But, unfortunately this terrible disaster has hardly been noticed by most people. God, in his magnificent love and wisdom, knows that He will get the attention of more of His children with physical discomforts. You absolutely know that as a last resort He has sent His loving Mother, Mary, to proclaim new, visible, evidence of His existence and chastisement for those who stubbornly refuse to convert and believe. You are experts in the field of the Blessed Mother's apparitions at La Salette, Lourdes, Fatima, and, of course, Medjugorje, to rescue as many souls as possible. At the same time she counsels you, the faithful, in the breathtaking prospect of being useful in God’s perfect work of Salvation. To John the Evangelist, Marie Julie Jahenny of La Fraudais, Blessed Anna Maria Taigi, Melanie and Maximin of La Salette, the seers of Fatima, the visionaries at Medjugorje, and many others, she reveals what it means to say, “Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.” Don't Her messages the last few months (September, October, November 2012) say it plainly. Maybe we need to share what we know about that?

The events described in the Apocalypse sound very like the much predicted Three Days of Darkness. Venerable Anna Maria Taigi is probably most quoted on this difficult subject, and I thought you would appreciate a bit more information than is usually given. BLESSED ANNA MARIA TAIGI (1769-1837) lived in Rome. Her prophecies were recorded by a secretary, then reviewed when she was being considered for sainthood, and are now kept in the Vatican Archives. There are quite a few books on her life. I read the one by Bessieres quite a few years ago, long before I had any idea we’d be into this. There is a generous section on Venerable Anna in the collection of prophecies called, The Christian Trumpet . You will appreciate the comments Father Pellegrino makes on the various prophecies and he gives a nice introduction about her life ...........

“Her intellectual gifts were altogether overshadowed by an unexampled miracle. Shortly before she had entered on the way of perfection there began to appear to her a golden globe which became as a sun of matchless light; in this all things were revealed to her. Past and future were to her an open book.

“She knew with certainty the fate of the dead. Her gaze traveled to the ends of the earth and discovered there people on whom she had never set eyes, reading them to the depths of their souls. One glance sufficed; upon whatever she focused her thoughts, it was revealed to her and her understanding. She saw the whole world as we see the front of a building. It was the same with nations as the individuals; she saw the cause of their distresses and the remedies that would heal them.

“By means of this permanent and prodigious miracle, the poor wife of Domenico Taigi became a theologian, a teacher, and a prophet. The miracle lasted forty-seven years. Until her death the humble woman was able to read this mysterious sun as an ever-open book. Until her death she looked into it solely for the glory of God; that is, when charity suggested or obedience demanded it. Should things for which she had not looked, or which she did not understand, appear she refrained from asking explanations.

“Blessed Anna Maria Taigi predicted a major and as of yet still forthcoming Chastisement for the world on account of its grave sins. [She said] ‘God will send two punishments: one will be in the form of wars, revolutions and other evils: it shall originate on earth. The other will be sent from Heaven. There shall come over the whole earth an intense darkness lasting three days and three nights. Nothing can be seen and the air will be laden with pestilence which will claim mainly, but not only, the enemies of religion. It will be impossible to use any man-made lighting during this darkness, except blessed candles. [Marie Julie Jahenny of Fraudais said "In the homes of the wicked and blasphemers these candles will give NO LIGHT." In other words, the first step in preparing for this event needs to be getting "right with God." cj] He, who out of curiousity, opens his window to look out, or leaves his home, will fall dead on the spot. During these three days, people should remain in their homes, pray the Rosary and beg God for mercy.’

“’All the enemies of the Church, whether known or unknown, will perish over the whole earth during that universal darkness, with the exception of a few whom God will soon convert. The air shall be infected by demons who will appear under all sorts of hideous forms.’”

You have read these words before. However, I sorted through many different works on Venerable Anna Maria Taigi’s prophecies, and compiled a collection of them all, expanding our understanding of the happening without unnecessary repetition. The following are the findings on The Three Days of Darkness:

THE THREE DAYS OF DARKNESS

1. “A very thick darkness shall envelop the earth during three days. This awful darkness shall be impregnated with such pestilential vapors, and filled with such frightful apparitions, that they will cause, in a more special manner, the death of the hypocritical or avowed enemies of the Holy Church.

“Anna Maria announced that on this terrible occasion so many of these wicked men, enemies of his Church and of their God, shall be killed by this divine scourge, that their corpses round Rome will be as numerous as the fish which a (then) recent inundation of the Tiber had carried into the city. All the enemies of the Church, secret as well as known, will perish over the whole earth during that universal darkness, with the exception of some few, whom God will soon after convert. The air shall be infected by demons, who will appear under all sorts of hideous forms.

“On this subject, Anna Maria has given several directions to the faithful. One of these was, to procure blessed candles, which alone shall give light during the darkness; also, to remain in prayer, to recite the holy rosary, not to attempt to look out for idle and vain curiosity.”

Another source quotes Venerable Anna, “During this darkness artificial light will be impossible. Only blessed candles can be lighted and will afford illumination. He who out of curiosity opens his window to look out or leaves his house will fall dead on the spot. During these three days the people should remain in their homes, pray the Rosary and beg God for mercy.”

2. More from The Christian Trumpet : “A heavenly apparition shall come to reassure the faithful. St. Peter and St. Paul will appear on the clouds, and all men shall see them; and, in a supernatural manner, faith shall return to their hearts. Innumerable conversions of heretics shall cause universal edification.

“From the process of the beatification of Venerable Anna Maria Taigi, which was published in the Analecta juris Pontificii, we learn the following circumstance, deposed upon oath by Cardinal Pedicini (who was personally known by the compiler of this)

"‘One day,’ says the Cardinal, ‘Anna Maria, while shedding a torrent of tears, prayed and offered her actions and sufferings for the conversion of sinners, for the destruction of sin, and that God might be known and loved by all men. Then God manifested to her the horrible sins of persons of every condition, and how grievously He was offended. At this sight the servant of God experienced a profound sorrow, and sighing, she exclaimed: “Dearly beloved! what is the remedy for this disaster?” Jesus Christ answered : “My child, the Church, my spouse, my Father, and myself shall remedy everything. For after a punishment .... those who shall survive shall have to conduct themselves well.” At this point she saw innumerable conversions of heretics, who will return to the bosom of the Church; she saw, also, the edifying conduct of their lives, as well as that of all other Catholics.’ So far Cardinal Pedicini.

3. “During several successive days, Anna Maria beheld a most excessive darkness spreading itself over the whole world. She likewise saw falling ruins of walls, accompanied by much dust, as if a great edifice had tumbled down. This scourge was shown to her on divers occasions. This may indicate the ruins caused by frightful earthquakes, or the destruction effected by the wicked Communists. We presume, and assume as pretty certain, that this darkness will be sensible, similar to that of Egypt, mentioned in Exodus, tenth chapter, and that it shall continue during three days. Though the venerable servant of God has not mentioned this duration, yet Monseigneur Natali, having been questioned on this particular point by a large number of persons, has invariably assured them that the darkness shall last during three days.

A FEW OTHER PROPHECIES OF BLESSED ANNA:

4. “The Pope shall convoke a (general) council (that of the Vatican). A new constitution of the Church shall be proclaimed in it. (The one Dei Filius and that on the Pope's infallibility defined in solemn session July 18, 1870.)

5. “The venerable servant of God, about forty years before the event, pointed out distinctly one after the other all the Episcopal Sees in the Catholic Church, the respective bishops of which were to oppose the definition at the late council at the Vatican.”

6. “France, she said, shall fall into frightful anarchy. The French people shall have a desperate civil war, in which old men themselves shall take up arms. The political parties having exhausted their blood and their rage without being able to arrive at any satisfactory understanding, they shall at the last extremity agree by common consent to have recourse to the Holy See. Then the Pope shall send to France a special legate, in order that he may examine the state of affairs and the dispositions of the people. In consequence of the information received, his Holiness himself shall nominate a most Christian king for the government of France. (From this it appears that the Holy See shall be settled before France.)

7. “During this time there shall be a great universal revolution.

8. “The priests shall almost everywhere be massacred to such an extent that, in order to find one of them alive, it shall be necessary to travel several days. The churches shall be closed, but only for a short time. (In another copy more recently received from Rome this passage varies somewhat. It is in the following words: ‘Religious shall be persecuted, priests shall be massacred, the churches shall be closed, but only for a short time; the Holy Father shall be obliged to abandon Rome.’”

9. “God will decree two afflictions. One will originate on earth, namely; wars, revolutions, and other evils. The other judgment comes from the air...

10) “Our Lord said to her: ‘First five big trees must be cut down in order that the triumph of the Church may come. These five trees are five great heresies.’ Then the Servant of God said: ‘Two hundred years are hardly sufficient that all of this may happen.’ And Our Lord replied: ‘It won’t take as long as you think.’

11) “First several EARTHLY scourges will come. They are going to be dreadful, but they will be mitigated and shortened by the prayers and the penances of many holy souls. There will be great wars in which milllions of people will perish through iron. But after these earthly scourges will come the HEAVENLY one, which will be directed solely against the impenitent. This scourge will be far more frightful and terrible; it will be mitigated by nothing, but it will take place and act in its full rigor. However, in what this heavenly scourge will consist, God did not reveal to anyone, not even His most intimate friends.” [The Christian Trumpet (Pelligrino = Gaudentius Rossi); The Reign of Antichrist (Culleton)]

I feel obligated, commissioned even, to share the
knowledge of the Three Days of Darkness prophecy.
It is relevant to the message of Medjugorje because
it seems to me that it pretty well has to be the last
(10th) Secret, AND anyone who hopes to live
through it needs to make some preparations, both
physical and spiritual.
